World No.1 Roger Federer could find himself on a tricky route to the finals of the Indian Wells tournament, possibly facing both Andys.

He is seeded to face America's Andy Roddick in the quarter-finals and UK's Andy Murray in the semi-final. 

Federer will be playing his first tournament since beating Murray in the final at Melbourne, after which he had to pull out of the Dubai Open on doctor's orders last month when he suffered a lung infection.

Federer hasn't reached the final in this Open series sinmce 2006, losing in the last two semi finals there.

Rafael Nadal is the defending champion and could find himself up against Russian Nikolay Davydenk in the quarter-finals. Davydenk has beaten Nadal the last three times they have played.
