This weekend the main race is the Ipswich Cup with a crowd of 15,000 expected for their big race day of the year. Rugby League: This weekend Round 15, the double header is between Brisbane $1.54 v Penrith $2.46 and Canterbury $2.21 v Gold Coast $1.66. The other interesting game of the round looks between Manly $1.58 v Souths $2.36. Soccer Fever: In the FIFA World Cup Soccer, Australia got off to a shocker against GERMANY and on Saturday I can't see the Socceroos (at $3.76 & Draw $3.41) and Ghana $1.93 improving and I expect Ghana to win this one comfortably.

This week we head to Eagle Farm for the Stradbroke Hcp over 1400m and the Qld Derby over 2400m, the all important barrier draw has been conducted for the $1 Million Group 1 Stradbroke Hcp on Saturday. This week the Queensland carnival is beginning to kick of with the main meeting in Queensland being at the Gold Coast for the Hollingdale Stakes, Prime Ministers Cup and 3yr Guineas Plate. The Sydney Carnival has come to an end but this week looks like a great days racing with Hawkesbury having there stand alone Saturday meeting with there big races being the Hawkesbury Rowley Mile and the Hawkesbury Guineas. In NRL round 8 this week on Friday night looks like a real cracker of a match between Parramatta $1.48 v Bulldogs $2.61 with the line being 6.5 points. In another interesting game of the round Souths $2.11 v Manly $1.71 with the line being 2.5 points. In AFL the game of the round is Western Bulldogs $1.69 v St Kilda $2.13 who play on Friday night.

This makes for a great days racing and I think we can find a few winners check below in suggested bets. In racing this week we have the Railway Stakes in Perth with a lot of horses who have raced over the Melbourne Carnival chasing the good prize money on offer. In cricket, at the Gabba Australia take on the West Indies, Thursday 26th November, with Australia being the red hot favourites to win the first test. In the English Premier League soccer this weekend there are two crunch games with Liverpool playing host to Manchester City and Manchester United playing host to Everton. In the Rugby Union this weekend England take on the All Blacks and Scotland take on Australia, with Australia still coming to terms with Ireland snatching victory away with a last minute try on the bell to make that game a draw. Expect Australia to really come out firing and take their frustration out on the Scots.
