NRL: Last round of the regular season Broncos must win by 15 points or more against Canberra and Souths must lose for the Broncos to qualify for the finals but if Canberra win they go straight into the finals. AFL: Finals week 1 Geelong and Collingwood should take a step closer to the Grand Final after this weekend whilst at ANZ stadium on Sunday it will be sudden death for the loser of the Sydney Swans $1.45 v Carlton $2.70 line 15.5pts.

NRL: With 2 weeks to go to the finals, who will make the playoffs? There are some real crunch games this weekend Roosters $1.53 v Manly $2.45 line 3.5pts, Parramatta $1.50 v Souths $2.50 line 5.5pts with the loser of this game meaning their season is offically over. AFL: The game of the round is between Hawthorn $2.50 v Collingwood $1.50. Racing: In racing this weekend, we have the running of The Group One Golden Rose from Rosehill.

NRL: Round 24, with three rounds to go. AFL: Round 21 the game of the week is at the SCG between the Swans $2.11 v Western Bulldogs $1.69 line 7.5 pts. Racing: In Racing this week in Sydney we are off to Warwick Farm for the Warwick Farm Stakes. A field of 14 have accepted to contest the $175,000 Group II 100 Club Warwick Stakes (1400m) which includes seven Group I winners.

Rugby League: Round 23, the top 8 is still very hard to predict with some real crunch games this weekend. AFL: Round 20 the games of the round are between West Bulldogs $2.25 v Geelong $1.60 line 6.5pts and Freemantle $1.55 v Sydney $2.35 line 10.5pts. Racing: The big race of the day is from Caulfield in the Liston Stakes group 2, with Shocking , So You Think, Predatory Pricer and Heart of Dreams all resuming from a well earned spell.

AFL: The game off the season that everybody is waiting for is between Collingwood $1.95 v Geelong $1.80 from the MCG ON SATURDAY NIGHT and the line being 6.5 pts with Collingwood heavily backed with the line. NRL: Round 22 we have some real important games with 4 teams outside the 8 still a chance of making the finals, but the game of the round is definately Titans $1.80 v Eeels $2.00 line 1.5pts $1.90.

Rugby League: In round 21 there are some real crucial games with Parramatta $1.50 v Sydney Roosters $2.50 line 5.5pts, Newcastle $2.65 v Manly $1.45 line 6.5pts and the game of the weekend is between Brisbane $1.60 v Bulldogs $2.30 line 4.5pts. AFL: The game of the round is between Brisbane Lions $ 1.75 v Melbourne $2.00. Rugby Union: In the Tri Nations we have the real grudge match with the inform Australia $3.1 v New Zealand $1.35 line 7.5pts.

The TRI Nations move to Australia for the first time this year with Australia $1.60 v South Africa $2.25 line 2.5pts. This looks like a real close game but I think the fitness and strength of the South Africans will get them home with a close match.

There are some real intersting games this weekend at the Gold Coast $1-90 v Brisbane $1.90, Penrith $1.55 v Parramatta $2.40, and the most interesting game which there could well be an upset is Souths at the juicy odds of $2.65 v St George $1.45 with the line 6.5pts.

On Monday morning 12/7 at 4-30pm we have the final of the the World Cup Soccer Spain v Netherlands . Spain have been under major pressure since losing to Switzerland in the group stage but have stepped up to the mark at are hot favourites to win there first ever world cup.

Racing: Winter Racing move to the Sunshine Coast this Saturday with the Caloundra Cup being the highlight | Rugby League: Top of the table clash takes place this weekend with St. George taking on Penrith. In other clashes the Sharks take on the Bulldogs and the Raiders look to strong for the Roosters. | Origin: Once again QLD will be too good for the blues in the 3rd State of Origin. | AFL: Match of the round looks to be Hawthorn $2.26 up against the Western Bulldogs $1.66.

The Brisbane winter carnival finishes this weekend. The feature race on the program is the Winter Stakes (1400m), which is shaping as a great finale to the Group I season with 13 acceptances. NRL: Round 16 Souths $2.66 play Melbourne $1.455, the line 6.5pts. AFL: Round 13 has some very interesting games to watch with St Kilda $3.31 v $ Geelong $1.305 line 20.5pts, Sydney $2.26 v Collingwood $1.61 line 8.5pts. Soccer Fever: Some ego's have been bruised after the first week with Argentina $4.94 and Brazil $4.99 are the new favourites.

This weekend the main race is the Ipswich Cup with a crowd of 15,000 expected for their big race day of the year. Rugby League: This weekend Round 15, the double header is between Brisbane $1.54 v Penrith $2.46 and Canterbury $2.21 v Gold Coast $1.66. The other interesting game of the round looks between Manly $1.58 v Souths $2.36. Soccer Fever: In the FIFA World Cup Soccer, Australia got off to a shocker against GERMANY and on Saturday I can't see the Socceroos (at $3.76 & Draw $3.41) and Ghana $1.93 improving and I expect Ghana to win this one comfortably.

This week we head to Eagle Farm for the Stradbroke Hcp over 1400m and the Qld Derby over 2400m, the all important barrier draw has been conducted for the $1 Million Group 1 Stradbroke Hcp on Saturday. Friday night is the start of World Cup Soccer which goes for 4 weeks, with many sleepless nights ahead and some interesting statistics to look at before you bet. This weekend be careful as the State of Orgin Players are not playing as they are in camp for the second state of Orgin game being played in Brisbane.

This week the big race of the day is from Eagle Farm were they are racing the Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2400m). The high-flying combination of Peter Moody and Luke Nolan will have some thinking to do after Fairy Oak drew terribly for The Oaks. The World Cup is fast approaching with the first game on June 11 between South Africa v Mexico, so lets all get ready for some very late nights and nail bitting games.

Sydney mare HOT DANISH and Melbourne visitor ORTENSIA head the betting for this Saturday’s group 1 Doomben 10,000. Also in commission will be Group 1 performer WHOBEGOTYOU. With plenty of players backing up after Wednesday night’s State of Origin game, Round 12 of NRL looks interesting. St George $1.57 take on the Parramatta Eels $2.45 at Jubilee Stadium on Friday night.

The Brisbane Winter Carnival continues this Saturday with the running of the Group 1 Doomben Cup. The Chris Waller trained Metal Bender is the $3.00 favourite. In NRL a split round this weekend with the lead up to the State of Origin. Parramatta $1.27 should be too good for the Sharks $3.85 while St George $1.69 should take care of the Raiders $2.20.

The first Group One of the Brisbane carnival will kick off at Doomben this Saturday. A high class field of 12 will take the start with the $3.25 favourite Ortensia drawn well in barrier 4. Round 10 of the NRL kicks off on Friday night with the local Derby between the Broncos and the Gold Coast Titans, with the betting $1.91 each team.

This week the Queensland carnival is beginning to kick of with the main meeting in Queensland being at the Gold Coast for the Hollingdale Stakes, Prime Ministers Cup and 3yr Guineas Plate. In Rugby League this week on Friday we have a double header City $2.51 v Country $1.51 and the line 4.5pts, and also in Melbourne Australia $1.154 v N.Z $5.27 line 17.5pts. The match of round 9 in the NRL is definately between Manly $2.41 v St George $1.56 and the line 4.5pts.

The Sydney Carnival has come to an end but this week looks like a great days racing with Hawkesbury having there stand alone Saturday meeting with there big races being the Hawkesbury Rowley Mile and the Hawkesbury Guineas. In NRL round 8 this week on Friday night looks like a real cracker of a match between Parramatta $1.48 v Bulldogs $2.61 with the line being 6.5 points. In another interesting game of the round Souths $2.11 v Manly $1.71 with the line being 2.5 points. In AFL the game of the round is Western Bulldogs $1.69 v St Kilda $2.13 who play on Friday night.

This week it is the last day of the Sydney Carnival with the main races being the 2yr old Champagne Stakes, Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Sydney Cup and the All Aged Stakes. This makes for a great days racing and I think we can find a few winners check below in suggested bets. In NRL round 7 this week we have the Friday night double header Bulldogs $1.405 v Brisbane $2.91 and Cowboys $2.91 v Eels $1.35.In AFL round 5 there are only 2 undefeated teams after 4 Rounds St Kilda $1.224 play Port Adelaide $4.01 and Brisbane Lions play Melbourne.

It's looking very likely that Western Bulldogs captain Brad Johnson will not play again this Sunday in their match against Hawthorn Hawks. Reigning AFL premiers Geelong clawed their way to a great comeback to beat Hawthorn by nine points at the MCG on Easter Monday, watched by almost 69,000 fans.

This week at Rosehill racecourse is the running of the AAMI Golden Slipper with $3.5m in prize money going to the winning connections. The race has been thrown wide open due to the forecast of more rain by the weekend. In Rugby League this weekend we kick off with 2 games on Easter Friday Melbourne Storm $1.71 v St George $2.11 with the line 2.5pts in the other game the Roosters $1.36 play host to the Brisbane Broncos $2.99.

This week in League we have some interesting games with Friday night’s double header Wests $2.42 versus Parramatta $1.55 and St George $1.295 versus North Queensland $3.44. Souths have been playing well but are missing that killer instinct and this weekend’s game against Cronulla I expect them to really show their true form. Souths $1.71 versus Cronulla $2.11 with the line 2.5pts.

How good was it to see the Rugby League back in action last week but as a punter it was a disaster with upsets everywhere. The double header on Friday night should be interesting between St George $1.51 and Bulldogs $2.50 and Souths $1.71 and Gold Coast Titans $2.11. In the English Premier League soccer the match of the round is between Manchester United $1.61 and Liverpool $5.51 and the draw $3.56.

In the Australian Soccer Sydney FC $1.86 play Wellington $4.16. In the English Premier League this week’s round see Chelsea $1.18 versus West Ham $13.05 and Manchester United $1.21 versus Fulham $12.04. In the Rugby Union the Waratahs will be looking to play a more exciting game this week after being booed off the park last week.

This week in the Super 14s rugby we have some interesting match ups with Brumbies $1.04 versus Lions $9.53, Cheetahs $2.36 versus Hurricanes $1.56, Chiefs $1.08 versus Reds $7.02, Crusaders $1.18 versus Blues $4.52 and the Waratahs $1.33 versus Sharks $3.16. | Rugby League: We are just over one week away from the first game of the NRL season with Brisbane playing host to North Queensland Cowboys and the Eels to the dragons for the first Friday night double header of the season.

This week we see great racing in both Melbourne and Sydney. In Melbourne the main race of the day is the Futurity Stakes and in Sydney the Silver Slipper Stakes with the winners getting a direct start into the Golden Slipper.

In Rugby Union this weekend is the start of the super 14s with the two main games being Blues $2.11 versus Hurricanes $1.71, and the Force $2.51 versus Brumbies $1.51 with Matt Giteau definitely not playing for the Brumbies. In Rugby League the Indigenous All Stars $2.15 versus NRL All Stars $1.66 is this Saturday night. In Cricket Cricket the 3rd ODI between Australia $1.23 versus West Indies $4.11.

The Super Bowl final between Indianapolis and the New Orleans Saints is on Monday 5th February with live coverage on ESPN from 10am. In cricket, Australia play the West Indies on Sunday 7th February at 7pm in the ODI from the MCG. In the English Premier League we have the game of the season between Chelsea and Arsenal, with major problems in the Chelsea camp over the John Terry saga.

This week we have the Men’s and Woman’s Singles Finals from the Australian Open, with Justine Henin coming into the Woman’s tournament as a wild card and has been backed for plenty to win the final. In the Men’s Andrew Murray will play the winner of Roger Federer and Jo Tsonga, and if Roger Federer wins its a wipeout for the corporate bookies along with the favourite Double Serena Williams into Roger Federer makes it a blackout. This weekend it hots up in Melbourne with the racing of the Lightning Stakes with Starspangledbanner the heavily backed favourite at $4-20.

The Australian Open Tennis Championship is starting to hot up with many of the top seeds still alive in the tournament.The best match on Saturday is between Lleyton Hewitt(1.86) and Marcos Baghdatis(1.91). In Cricket news we have the First One Day International between Australia and Pakistan starting this Friday. Australia is favourite here at $1.4 with Pakistan the $3.00 outsider. Friday night, Mooney Valley hosts the Group 2 Australia Stakes (1200m). Despite the $200,000 stakes on offer there are only five horses in the feature race.

This week the Sydney races are at Rosehill with the 2 yr old fillies and colts strutting their stuff, getting ready for the Golden Slipper. Gai Waterhouse has a couple of really nice 2yr old fillies racing in race 2 and it will be interesting to see how they go.

In the Cricket, what a game and what a finish by the Aussies to steal the match off Pakistan. This weekend all roads head towards the Gold Coast for the 2yo $2m BMW Magic Millions Classic over 1200m and the $1m 3yr Magic Millions Trophy over 1200m. The prize money is enormous for the whole racing card and trainers from all around Australia are trying to get there fingers in the pie.

This week there will be a huge crowd at Royal Randwick for the Villiers race day with the $150,000 prize money up for grabs for the winner of the Villiers. In the English Premier League the match of the round is Fulham who play host to Manchester United.

This weekend’s the main race comes from Perth, the “Kingston Town Classic” with the two class horses of the race being ‘Scenic Shot’ and ‘Snipers Bullet’. The second Cricket test starts tomorrow from Adelaide Oval between Australia and the West Indies, with the West Indies looking to improve on there diabolical performance in the first test.

This Saturday Australia play Wales and there could be heads rolling if they don’t win. In the International Rugby matches this weekend France play New Zealand, Scotland play Argentina, Ireland play South Africa and Italy play Samoa.

In racing this week we have the Railway Stakes in Perth with a lot of horses who have raced over the Melbourne Carnival chasing the good prize money on offer. In cricket, at the Gabba Australia take on the West Indies, Thursday 26th November, with Australia being the red hot favourites to win the first test. In the English Premier League soccer this weekend there are two crunch games with Liverpool playing host to Manchester City and Manchester United playing host to Everton. In the Rugby Union this weekend England take on the All Blacks and Scotland take on Australia, with Australia still coming to terms with Ireland snatching victory away with a last minute try on the bell to make that game a draw. Expect Australia to really come out firing and take their frustration out on the Scots.

This Saturday is the last day of the Flemington Racing Carnival. Punters won big off the bookies on Derby day but the bookies haven't stopped counting the money after Melbourne Cup day with not one favourite winning on Tuesday. The Emirates Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth Stakes are the 2 big races this Saturday with the successful carnival grinding to a halt.

This Saturday is the best quality racing for the whole year with 9 Group races in Flemington, with the top 3 placegetters in the Mackinnon Stakes exempt from the ballot for the Melbourne Cup. In the AAMI Victoria Derby over 2500m for 3 year olds Shamoline Warrior is the favourite but Rockferry is the horse the punters have really come for and will be a bookies nightmare if it wins.

This week is the famous COX PLATE at Mooney Valley Race Track with huge prize money up for grabs. The question is can Bart Cummings win the Cox Plate as well. Bart has the young up and comer SO YOU THINK which has a real big chance at $13.

This weekend’s Caulfield Cup has been sent into turmoil with two of the favoured runners scratched during the week due to injury. This will be one of the most open Caulfield Cups in years with betting $7-1 the field. With rain predicted we have to look at horses who can handle the sting out of the ground.

What a great season we had this year in the AFL and NRL but now with it all over it’s time to move on to the Cricket, Basketball and Soccer.

With the AFL season finished and the mighty Geelong Cats being the 2009 Premiers, we now have the NRL Grand Final this weekend with Parramatta playing Melbourne on Sunday at 5pm. Who will win? The punters think Melbourne Storm will win. For the bookies the Geelong Cats / Melbourne Storm double will be a huge payout so they will be cheering Parramatta big time.

This week we have the AFL Grand Final between Geelong and St. Kilda. Geelong are looking for redemption after getting beat in the Grand Final last year by Hawthorn, but they will have to beat the minor premiers St. Kilda to do so this year.

This week is the AFL and NRL final series and it is down to sudden death with the losing teams ending their season for the year.

To all you sports fans it will be hard getting off the couch this weekend with an abundance of fantastic sport to watch. In the NRL we are down to the finals series with the two lower rated teams who get beat this weekend meaning the end of the season for them. Brisbane vs Gold Coast, Bulldogs vs Newcastle, Manly vs Melbourne and St George vs Parramatta are this week's match ups. In the AFL we have two games in this weeks finals series West Bulldogs vs Brisbane and Adelaide v Collingwood.

In the NRL we are up to the final round which is Round 26. The big game of the week is Newcastle at home against Penrith and whoever loses will end their season for the year. It will be a cracker with Newcastle having a huge hometown support.

This Saturday at Rosehill racecourse we have the running of the $1 million Golden Rose with a top class field with the likes of Denman, Trusting and Phelan Ready (Golden Slipper winner) all trying to snare the big prize money. There will be a huge crowd at Rosehill with over 12 500 people expected to turn up for the start of the carnival.

What a week of sport coming with the 5th and final test starting on Thursday 20th August from The Oval. All Australia need is a draw to retain the Ashes but I am sure the curator from The Oval will be trying to make the wicket a result wicket for England to get a result.

The English Soccer season starts up this weekend and the question is, can Manchester United continue to be the top team again this year. The pick of the round will be Everton against Arsenal and Tottenham against Liverpool.

This weekend we have some great sporting fixtures, starting with the crucial 4th test starting on the 7th August from Headingley. Australia needs desperately to win this game as with only 2 tests left and a drawn series will still mean they retain the Ashes.

This weekend we have a smorgasbord of great sport to watch! CRICKET this weekend will see the 3rd ASHES TEST between England and Australia starting on the 30th July.

Tri Nations grudge match between South Africa and New Zealand on the 25th July. New Zealand look to continue their good form after their fight back victory against Australia in Auckland.

This week the NRL hits round 19. It will be interesting with many of the star players backing up or unable to play after the State of Origin clash. Brisbane Broncos have been hit especially hard Darren Lockyer and Sam Thaiday have pulled out of this weekends clash with the Rabbitos.

AFL - Lines up for Round 16. The unbeaten St Kilda are now two games clear of Geelong whose depleted side was beaten away from home by Brisbane last week. Geelong will be bolstered this week with the return of up to six stars,

Cricket fans, step up to the crease because Betezy has the odds you’re looking for. This week, the first test of the Ashes has started. Next Wednesday is the State of Origin with the Blues looking for some respect trying to save the Queensland whitewash! NRL steps up to Round 18 this week, with a lot of teams losing there star players to the State of Origin making for some interesting play.

This weekend Wimbledon wraps up with the mens and womens finals. Roger Federer ($1.41) looks a certainty to beat Pete Sampras's record of 14 grand slam wins. To do so he must beat Haas ($26.09) and then the winner of Murray ($3.51) vs Roddick ($13.05). In the ladies we would expect another Williams sisters show down. Current betting sees Serena ($2.05) and Venus ($2.30).

Ladies and gentlemen, even the corgis will be having a punt this weekend because it’s time again for racing’s most prestigious meet – Royal Ascot.
